About this stay
Palau Arrel sits on a car-free lane two minutes from the cathedral, yet the thick stone walls make it one of the quietest addresses in the old town. The building was a wool merchant’s house in the 1400s, and the restoration kept the Gothic arches, the courtyard well and the original timber ceilings.
Rooms are simple and generous: linen, oak floors, deep baths and shutters that open onto the lane or the courtyard. Breakfast is served under the vaults, with pastries from a bakery around the corner and coffee made to order.
